Colour with Photoshop!

So i started using photoshop to add colour to my illustrations! It works sooo much better! The only problem is the pen outline i cant make dark enough without loosing the quality and detail... ho hum... will work on solving that issue!
But for now here is one of my previous prints filled with colour ala photoshop... o yes... one more problem, the ppi is so high that the document takes forever...but it is worth it i think!

Printies for Panties!

I have created some simpler repeat prints, aimed towards knickers and pyjama sets. After researching into panties i noticed that the prints were usually more basic, im guessing as pants are usually a small garment.

More Seamless!...

Here is another seamless pattern... i havent added colour yet and i would also like to experiment with changing the thicknesses of some of the line... as when vectorising my illustrations some detail looks thicker than others from far away!
This is the tile swatch...

and this is the pattern...

Whilst browsing Borders today... as you do when you have a deadline coming up. I found this gorgeous childrens illustration story called Varmints by Helen Ward! The illustrations are just amazing and as you can see appeal to adults as well as children. In-fact the whole story line is cool. Its about industrialisation taking over a perfect serene world... and one little varmint tries to save the last living piece of wilderness to remind the others of whats important!

There is also a short animation by Marc Craste available only on itunes.... get it!!

This is Adam and Hallies most beautiful wedding!... i am incredibly jealous and fell in love with it as soon as i came across the photos whilst blog hunting.... take a look, i have gone a bit overboard but i just love it.... not only the theme and style of the wedding but the quality of the photos themselves!
