... everything about that era inspires me, the fashion the lifestyle... but especially the most recent film directed by Sofia Coppola, the film is awesome, her juxtaposition of modern music against the historical storyline and the cheeky lilac converse in the shoe scene...(look out for it)... is so effective, but also the visuals are BEAUTIFUL!!! i want to be doused in pastel coloured petticoats!
Definitely hats off to costume designer-Milena Canonero, also famous for Clockwork Orange among many many others!
I would also like to big up Sofia for bringing Bow Wow Wow back into our lives (youve just been listening to them...hopefully) and would like to point out that i like the way she sings fools rush in! Infact the music throughout the whole film is awesome... just buy the soundtrack!
.... also i love this photo of Kirsten as Marie backstage showing a bit of leg in her 18th Century dress!! it will surely be an illustration inspiration.
